Coffee makes my day brighter. Haha.

Studying for exams really isn’t any fun at the moment. I’ve had a couple of exams but I’m not done yet. My momentum’s pretty much dried up and after studying non-stop for the last four weeks, I’m finding it really hard to push myself through the last three days.

It doesn’t help that everyone else I know, apart from two people doing the exact same subject, are done with exams. It’s kind of like a rewind button, where you do everything in the same order, day after day. – wake up, have a coffee, surf the net, study, more coffee. Rewind and repeat for 30 days.

But you know what, this semester has been so much better. I’ve learnt how to manage studying a little better, making sure I schedule in some relax time as well. And I’m pretty sure the studying will pay off, but we’ll wait till results are out to confirm that.

Almost at the end – tuesday’s almost here.

I am down with the flu – at exam time too. Been struggling to get myself out of bed this last two mornings. And even though I usually get the flu during winter each year, I don’t think I will ever get used to waking up to a pounding headache and aching body. Thank goodness for medication that works so well – 2 tablets every 6 hours has been working wonders.

With the exception of Saturday’s Music4Missions and Justin’s birthday, I’ve been staying home the last two weeks or so in preparation for  exams. I’ve finished one exam so far and still have three to go. But I’m not too worried. Cruising, really. :p This time round I’ve made it a point to stop and take breaks here and there, kind of like rewarding myself – a coffee or a lunch out once every few days just to get out of the house.

I’ve been in the last 3 days, so tomorrow I’m taking mummy and tracy out for breakfast. Maybe the fresh air will do my flu some good!

On a last note, this song has been on repeat on my playlist all yesterday and today.

I really should be studying.

When I was younger I used to be afraid of going for hair cuts. I used to have hairdressers who would give me the worst hairstyles ever. Mushroom head, boy-style-short, you name it and I’ve probably had it done to my hair. I even got my hair permed once, and instead of giving me waves he gave me curls like springs. And even worse than that he chopped of the bottom bit so I had a layer of straight hair under all those curls. Nightmare really, for a teenager at least.

I have lots of hair. Thick, poofy hair. That curls naturally (I usually have it straight though). It makes my hair hard to work with. These days I’ve stuck with what I know works (I’ve had the same hairstyle for 3 years), and that means only getting my hair cut by my brilliant hairdresser who I abosultely love to bits. Anyway, point is, I got my hair cut today :p

I just got back from the salon and I now have shorter hair – about 3 inches shorter to be exact, maybe more. It pretty much looks the same as before but shorter,  lighter, thinner.

It almost feels like I’ve got no more hair on my head!

I love having long hair and that means there’s not much I can do to make it look different. But I am going to try! I’m off to do something else to my hair. Stay tuned for part two

The weather has been absolutely beautiful these last few days. Easter weekend and the week leading up to it was just jam-packed with so many things happening that I barely spent more time at home than just to steal sleep after a long day out only to wake up bright and early and start it all over again. Lately I’ve been waking up much earlier than I used to and getting home later too. I would say it’s slightly draining but I wouldn’t trade these days for anything else. The conversations over a good brunch and coffee, coupled with amazing friends are priceless mornings I adore.

• Accounting assignment due friday
• Study for Economics test next week
• Lisa Mitchell concert tomorrow night
• Manifest night rally friday night
